Hi! I’m Laura Share, and I operate Elemental Work as a Board Certified Polarity Practitioner and Licensed Massage Therapist.

I've spent decades working with my hands as a bread baker, a landscape gardener, a silversmith, and a bodyworker. I’ve learned the skills of listening with my hands and looking for balance and detail with the eye. I've worked with a wide variety of folks with a diverse set of needs, and have learned to listen deeply, to hold confidentiality with conviction, and to strive to honor each individual.

In 2012, I completed my Massage and Polarity training with Spa Tech Institute, and was an instructor at their Westbrook, Maine location from 2014-2016. I opened Elemental Work in 2015. I returned to Spa Tech Institute in 2022 to complete Advanced Polarity Therapy training, and was Board Certified in Polarity Therapy in 2023.

I have trained in multiple massage techniques focusing on myofascial release, Medical Massage applications, Swedish massage, and reflexology, in addition to advanced techniques designed to target neuromuscular interactions, providing relief from pain and tension without discomfort. I've completed training in oncology massage and the concerns at play both during and after treatment. I've pursued continuing education in the relief of neck pain, work targeting the deep muscles of the abdomen and pelvis, work focused on the evaluation and treatment of low back pain, as well as the use of kinesiology tape for pain relief and therapeutic treatment. I am a Board Certified Polarity Practitioner and provide bodywork addressing balance of your energetic and nervous systems.

What does all of that mean? Whatever your goals are for your session, I have a variety of techniques to use to help meet them. We will always work within your comfort level, whether you can tolerate deep work, or need a very gentle hand.
